Ron Fitton - Managing Director
Ron heads the Team and is the Founder of Fitton Insurance Brokers. He established the Company in Toowoomba in 1984 and has successfully accumulated more than 28 years’ experience in the insurance industry. With his background and special interest in thoroughbred breeding and racing, Ron is more than capable to handle any insurance matter. His particular areas of expertise involve corporate, commercial and bloodstock insurance. Currently Vice President of the Queensland Horse Council and a former President, Ron also acts in an advisory capacity on a number of committees and government organisations associated with horse movement and the industry as a whole. Through his Company’s annual sponsorship of the first 2 year old race in Queensland held at Clifford Park since 1987 and the subsequently staging the Fitton Charity Race Day in Toowoomba, he and his mother Del have been instrumental in directing substantial funds towards supporting local and state charitable organisations, including the Queensland Institute of Medical Research for their ongoing cancer research programs. He and his wife, Sonia, have three young children and, in his spare moments at weekends, enjoys taking them to sporting activities, including horse riding.

Joanna Noonan - Bloodstock Division
Manager / Account Broker
Joanna oversees the running of the bloodstock division and, with more than 17 years’ experience specialising in this side of the business, she is well-versed in the likely pitfalls associated with bloodstock investment. Jo understands the broad spectrum of specialist insurance products designed to alleviate risk and her experience is regularly sought by top breeders and owners throughout Queensland and interstate. She also maintains a keen interest in the thoroughbred industry globally. Jo enjoys overseas travel and successfully juggles her professional role with attending to the needs of her energetic and growing young family, as well as making time to indulge in her special interests of gardening. |

Emma Lewis – Commercial Division / Rural Account Broker / Claims Manager
Emma has been in the insurance industry for more than seven years, rejoining Fitton Insurance Brokers in 2007. In her role, Emma controls a comprehensive portfolio that covers domestic, rural and commercial business. She is also our Claims Manager and makes it a priority to ensure quick turnaround in the processing of claims. An extremely capable and enthusiastic team member, Emma assists and advises colleagues in the provision of composite and prompt responses to clients and is a firm believer that service is the key to success. Emma has firsthand knowledge of the land, having spent her childhood years growing up on a property. She still endeavours to include some of the country air into her busy time schedule and has one small daughter currently attending college in Toowoomba. |

Maree Oxenbridge – Trainee Account Broker / Claims
Maree joined Fitton Insurance Brokers in 2008 from Mackay where she worked for two years with the local Steadfast Insurance Broker. Recognising the opportunities existing for young professionals in the industry, she embarked upon an additional course of study to enhance her qualifications and is currently completing studies to a Tier 2 General Insurance. Maree assists with quotes and processing for Personal and Commercial Lines and also provides assistance to the Claims Manager. While she sometimes yearns for the warmer climate of Mackay where she grew up and attended school, Maree continues to enjoy her special interests of following Soccer in Toowoomba. |

Valerie Lu – Corporate & Commercial Account Broker
Valerie has an international background and worked in a professional capacity in China in the medical and housing insurance industry prior to joining Fitton Insurance Brokers in 2008. Her experience and qualifications make her a valuable addition to the Team and her thorough approach and attention to detail in the area of preferred products gives clients confidence when making decisions. Valerie is a highly energetic and driven team member with a friendly and helpful disposition which immediately puts clients at ease. With many interests still abroad, Valerie enjoys travelling back to China to meet up with family. She is an accomplished food connoisseur and loves to create traditional style banquets for the enjoyment of her friends. |
Dominique Riley - Administrative Assistant.
Dominique joined Fitton Insurance Brokers in 2006 on a part-time basis assisting Jo Noonan in the Bloodstock Division and is office support for Helen Cooke. Dominique is also the Practice Manager for our associated business Matrix Planning Solutions.
Helen Cooke – Receptionist
Helen is our friendly and personable receptionist, always desirous of assisting visitors and callers to the offices of Fitton Insurance Brokers in Toowoomba. Helen enjoys meeting people and makes it her goal to go the extra mile following up initial inquiries to ensure a satisfactory response is received. She also works with Jo Noonan in Administration, managing and processing of payments, banking and internal accounting tasks. In her spare time, Helen enjoys spending time with family and friends. |
